How this demo works
This is a working sample of a quote-request system for fabrication and machine shops. Ironbend Fabrication and every customer on the desk are made up.
What’s real and what isn’t
- The request form, quote desk, statuses, notes, quotes and history all work.
- Everything you change is saved in your own browser. Nobody else sees it, and “Reset sample data” on the desk puts it back.
- Files aren’t uploaded. The demo keeps only the file name and size.
- No emails are sent. The quote email is a draft you can copy.
What a production build adds
- Secure drawing storage per customer, with in-browser PDF and 3D model viewing.
- Sign-in for your team, and an optional customer portal to track their requests and reorder.
- Email notifications, quote PDFs, and replies threaded back onto the request.
- Connections to the tools you already use: email, CRM, QuickBooks or your ERP.
- Reports on quote turnaround, win rate by customer and part type, and backlog.
Who built it
Baron Doss, a Dallas software developer who builds custom websites and business software for established companies. Custom RFQ and quote systems typically run $8,000 to $15,000, depending on integrations.
